Sunny Neji – Dancia (feat. Alabai)

"Dancia" is a song by Sunny Neji featuring Alabai, one of two collaborations between the pair on Neji's 2006 album, Off Da Hook, alongside "Without Your Love." The record marked Neji's fourth album and a deliberate turn toward R&B, a departure from the contemporary highlife sound that had defined hits like "Mr. Fantastik," "Oruka," and "Face Me" earlier in his career. Critics and longtime fans responded coolly to the shift, and Neji later returned to his highlife roots with the follow up album Pin No. 9 10 11. "Dancia" remains a product of that brief R&B leaning chapter in the catalog of an artist otherwise remembered as one of Nigeria's leading contemporary highlife voices.
