"Still D.R.E." is a song by Dr. Dre featuring Snoop Dogg, released in 1999 as the lead single from Dre's second studio album, 2001, through Aftermath and Interscope Records. Serving as Dre's comeback record after a seven year gap since his debut album The Chronic, the track's lyrics were written by Jay-Z and produced by Dre alongside Mel-Man over a stripped down, piano driven G-funk beat. The song became one of Dre's signature records and later appeared prominently in the 2001 film Training Day. It remains widely regarded as a defining track of West Coast hip hop at the turn of the millennium.
