Dido – Take My Hand

"Take My Hand" is a song by Dido, released in 1999 as the closing track on her debut studio album, No Angel, through Arista and Cheeky Records. Written by Dido Armstrong and Richard Dekkard and produced with Rollo and Sister Bliss, the song had earlier appeared in a different form on Dido's 1995 promotional demo collection, Odds & Ends, years before her mainstream breakthrough. Although never released as an official single, it reached number one on the Billboard Dance Club Play chart in 2002 and was later covered in 2004 by DJ Darren Tate under his Jurgen Vries alias, reaching number 23 on the UK Singles Chart. The song remains a quieter, downtempo highlight from the album that launched Dido's career.
