Baltimora – Tarzan Boy

"Tarzan Boy" is a song by Baltimora, released in April 1985 as the debut single and lead track from their debut album, Living in the Background, through EMI. Written and produced by Maurizio Bassi with lyrics by Naimy Hackett, the track featured Northern Irish performer Jimmy McShane as its public face while Bassi handled much of the actual songwriting and production. It reached number three on the UK Singles Chart, topped the charts in France and several other European countries, and peaked at number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 in early 1986. A 1993 remix, tied to a Listerine commercial and its inclusion on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III soundtrack, returned the song to the American charts and later saw further exposure through its use in the television series Stranger Things.
