Sunny Neji – Oruka

"Oruka" is a song by Sunny Neji from his 2003 album Unchained. Inspired by his own wedding experience a year earlier, Sunny Neji created the song around the idea of marriage, commitment, and the symbolic meaning of the wedding ring, known as "oruka" in Yoruba. Built on soft highlife melodies, emotional vocals, and romantic storytelling, the track became one of the most recognized Nigerian wedding songs of the early 2000s and was widely played at traditional and church marriage ceremonies across the country.
